High above timberline, the local citizens check out the stream of hikers headed up Grays Peak on a summer day in Colorado. Loveland Ski Area, on the eastern side of the Continental Divide, usually receives large amounts of Colorado powder.

Most skiers pass up this jewel on their way to Colorado's more tony resorts, much to the delight of local powder hounds who relish Loveland's misty terrain.
